ReUnited left it until the last knockings to secure the three points that keep us in touch with the Shooters. A draw here would have left us in a difficult situation, so Steve’s last minute winner was a truly golden goal.

The Krauts were impressive and well organised and would have fully merited a point. They defended deep and broke dangerously and we found it hard to make inroads through their ranks.
Our best chance of the first half came when Alex’s shot was tipped over superbly by the German keeper. We went into half time knowing we needed to up our game and although we pushed them back further it was still slow going in the second half.

It seemed as if we had run out of time before Lucas and Artem combined and then Markus brilliantly chipped in Steve who lobbed expertly and sparked wild celebrations that meandered onto the baseball pitch next door.

We now have three weeks off before another winter push leading up to the Christmas break.
