Match Report

On a fresh, early morning in Waigaoqiao, 3United faced off against Shining HFC. The match started with a 3United controlled game into the wind but Shining was able to put up a strong defensive effort and were able to squeeze a goal bouncing off the right post, taking the lead. The half was filled with some rough tackling by Shining all the way through, but 3United was able to equalize on a tap-in by Henrik Storm after his header was tipped away by the Shining keeper. The second half was much calmer, for both sides and even the wind died down. 3United spent most of the time in Shining’s half of the pitch but was unable to create the chances they needed to put another goal on the board. Shining played smartly on their break away chances, with Dong Chen finally able to put away the winner with only 15 minutes remaining. 3United supplied a good attacking effort in the final 15 minutes but to no avail. The match ended 2-1, with Shining coming out on top.
