Match Report

On a nice Saturday morning ReUnited and Azzurri were pitted against each other on the dying grass of the Tianma fields in Songjiang.

From the start ReU took the initiative and put a lot of pressure on the Azzurri goal, but the fans had to wait until the 15th minute to see the ball making its way into the net. It was a long free kick crossed into the box from 40 meters by Maximilian Priebe which was first saved by Azzurri keeper Alex Dai but he was unable to grab the ball and Chris Steen tapped it in for a 1:0 lead. 2 minutes later Alex Pozhar crossed in a ball from the right side which got deflected by an Azzurri defender and Adam Kling was able to tap in for the 2:0.

Azzurri produced now more pressure and shortened the tally when Marco Michelazzo lobbed a long ball over ReU’s keeper Cody Ahlstrom for a 2:1 half time result.
In the 67th minute Mandela Ngueguim arrived in Tianma from coaching his Aksil kids in the morning and scored with his first ball contact only 2 minutes later from a beautiful pass from fellow Cameroonian and man of the match Ousmane “Nas” Mohamadou.

Azzurri was still pressuring back and when Kwame Agyei-Owusu scored the 3:2 the game seemed to be open again. But 4 minutes later Mandela dribbled into the box and passed the ball to Steve Ishemezwe who lobbed an incredible ball into the right top corner of the goal for a 4:2 ReUnited win.
