After a bumpy couple of weeks ReUnited got back on the right track with a convincing win over Azzurri. It was a game played in freezing conditions with intermittent hail storms and we stayed frosty to claim all the points.

In the early stages the match was well balanced but when Adam smashed in a long range free-kick midway through the first half, it seemed to take the wind out of an Azzurri team still recovering from last week’s mauling by the Shooters.

For the rest of the half we were extremely dangerous in attack and should have added more goals. Chris was particularly unlucky when he smashed a shot off the underside of the bar.

With the introduction of Nas in midfield we had taken a strong hold on the game, this continued in the second half when Mandela added a second after being picked out by Karsten and Tobi sealed the victory with a third.

The Italians missed a late penalty but otherwise we were generally comfortable and saw the game out without many issues. So we stay in second at the moment with the Lions having played one less. Next week comes the Krauts and our annual Christmas booze up.
